When will the municipality start removing bicycles and mopeds? And why only in the area around the main railway station and not in the rest of Wyck?

From 1 October, the Municipality of Maastricht's Civil Enforcement Team (Team Handhaven) will be removing bicycles from the area around the main railway station – first on Stationsplein and then on Stationsstraat, Parallelweg, and Spoorweglaan.

The municipal assembly has issued two designation orders that give the Enforcement Team the power to remove bicycles in the area around the station. However, if the municipality thinks the Team should be on patrol at other locations, the municipal assembly will first have to decide on this.
